The R and D Marine flexible coupling range is an extremely popular choice of flexible shaft coupling, due to the competitive pricing and the simple to fit and maintain design. R&D flexible shaft couplings are designed for boat propeller shafts, providing isolation from both vibration and engine noise.
Made from a moulded polyester elastomer material which is not affected by salt water, diesel and lubrication fluids, R & D flexible couplings aid in the isolation and reduction of noise and vibration. Most of the R & D flexible shaft couplings have fail safe straps in the case of failure and must be aligned to 0.010. Installation and periodic maintenance of an R and D flexible shaft coupling is simple thanks to the red cone headed bolt.
If electrical continuity is required, an earthing connector can be fitted in the centre of most R & D flexible couplings.
