The Superseal cable connector has been specifically designed to meet the safety and reliability needs required in electrical connections. The Superseal fulfils all the requirements prescribed by various automotive and industrial standards, making it suitable for marine use as well as automotive, agricultural and machinery applications. The Superseal comprises of a housing as well as terminals and seals.
The Superseal features a glass filled polyamide housing and lock, and includes silicone rubber seals for wire entry. It is resistant to ozone, salts, gasoline, diesel, brake fluid detergents, anti-freeze coolant, transmission gear lubricant, motor oil and other harmful materials, as well as being waterproof to IP 67. The design features a secondary lock which ensures complete insertion of the contact and prevents the housing slipping out of the connector. The connector also includes a device that allows it to be safely and easily fastened to a panel to secure in place.
Superseal will allow for wire entry between 0.5 - 1.5mm² (20 - 16 AWG) with a maximum of 14 amps per cable. The seal shapes make cable insertion into the cavity very easy and a collar in the crimping area provides excellent strain relief on the terminals. The connector features lanceless contacts and a double contact spring at the contact receptacle to ensure high contact force with low insertion force.
The Superseal is available with male and female connections featuring up to 6 positions each.
