Faria Beede marine gauges designed to measure outboard motor temperature. These gauges use European or American resistance senders to give a visual display of the cylinder head temperature to a gauge mounted in the boat dashboard. The senders work by measuring the temperature of the cylinder head and converting that to a level.
All Faria Beede gauges within this section measure 2 inches in diameter.
Choosing between European and American resistance:A temperature sender uses resistance to operate the outboard temperature gauge. The sender supplies the gauge with a resistance which the gauge then displays as a reading on the dial, but this can be either European or American resistance. For outboard temperature gauges, European resistance gauges display the main reading in Celsius, while American resistance gauges display the reading in Fahrenheit.
