Fuel polishing systems prevent fuel system contamination. The daily build up of condensation in a fuel tank can lead to fuel contamination through bacterial growth.
Circulation of the tank fuel through a filter will help reduce the contaminants, prolonging fuel life and reducing the build up of bacterial growth.
The simplest of fuel polishing systems involves taking the fuel from the tank, pumping it through a fuel filter then returning it to the tank. This movement of the fuel and the filtration process is known as fuel conditioning or fuel polishing. We can offer systems for diesel fuel polishing and petrol fuel polishing (gasoline).
There are a number of fuel pumps available, from the specialist Parker Racor pumps to simple compact pumps. We always recommend the use of a Parker Racor Turbine fuel filter in your fuel polishing system, as they have a large capacity and will remove contamination and water whist being simple to service.
