A pressure pump will deliver water to taps, showers, galley and deck wash. There are various marine water pumps available, from many manufacturers, we currently list pumps from SHURflo, Jabsco, Johnson, Rule, Whale, Vetus and Patay.
Operation is simple once connected correctly. Automatic pumps will operate until the system is pressurised. By opening a tap etc., the pressure will reduce and the pump will operate. The inline pumps operate with the use of a micro switch that activates when pressure reduces.
To maintain a smooth flow, an accumulator tank can be installed inline if required. We also recommend that a filter is fitted between the tanks and the fresh water pump.
