The Scout Sea-Connect wideband antenna is designed to enhance communication capabilities on boats by providing a reliable and robust external antenna system for 3G, 4G, LTE, and WLAN (Wi-Fi) connectivity.
The antenna is specifically tailored for maritime environments, ensuring seamless internet connectivity even during navigation in open seas. The antenna's casing is UV stable, which means it can withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight without degrading or discolouring.
The Scout Sea-Connect is designed to support a wide range of communication systems, including 3G, 4G, LTE, and WLAN (Wi-Fi). The antenna is fitted with an N-type female connector.
It covers frequencies ranging from 698 MHz to 2700 MHz, which encompasses various bands used by different wireless technologies such as 4G, 3G, AWS, LTE, Wi-Fi, WiMax, and more.
The antenna boasts excellent performance with a Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) of less than 1.5:1 across all 3G and 4G bands. A low VSWR provides efficient power transfer between the antenna and the connected device, resulting in optimised signal strength and minimised signal loss.
The antenna offers two installation options. It can be easily installed on the standard 1″ x 14 threaded mount, product number 6-65013 (Scout model PA-40).
It can also be permanently mounted on the boat's deck through a through-hole installation, provided the surface or enclosure is non-metallic.
Suggested coaxial cable for the installation is LMR-400 or similar, see product code 6-67113 for 5-metre cable or product code 6-67115 for 10-metre cable.
