CanFix emergency pipe repair kit is a complete system for making emergency repairs to a wide variety of pipe materials, including exhausts. Do not set sail without it, damage to some hoses can be catastrophic...
CanFix consists of a patented fibreglass cloth, impregnated with water activated resin that sets in minutes, with no measuring, mixing, or messy clean-up. CanFix is approved and used by the US Navy and Coast Guard. Each kit contains a roll of CanFix cloth, a "two part epoxy" for filling and sealing, a pair of latex gloves and instructions.
CanFix Applications include: Riser exhaust, Leaking hydraulic lines, Water cooling hoses and fluid lines, Leaking steam lines & fittings, Corrosion protection coating, Repair broken tool handles, Emergency repairs to fuel lines.
CanFix Specifications:
- Maximum pressure retained (8 layers applied): 1,000psi
- Tensile strength: 24,900psi
- Flexural strength: 16,100psi
- Compression strength: 2,660psi
- Dielectric strength: 16,060 volts
- Heat resistant: 260°C (500°F) intermittent
- Setting times: 21°C (70°F) = 30min, 5.5°C (42°F) = 180min, 1.5°C (35°F) = 390min.
